Within & Without

The premiere show organised and curated by Neda Dana-Haeri, was an exhibition of works of emerging and contemporary Iranian artists currently living and working both in Iran and outside the country.  While you could clearly sense the rich cultural heritage influencing works of some of the artists who have lived abroad for many years, others based in their home country are breaking new boundaries, exploring and redefining what it means to be a modern Iranian artist.

The show brought together works of a diverse group of artists who are Within and Without their country, Iran, in more ways than one. Examples of their work can be found here.

For Farsi speakers there was excellent coverage on the BBC Persian service both on radio and video
